Minia, Egypt As part of the governorate’s National Day celebrations, Major General Emad Kedwany, Governor of Minia, received today, Wednesday, various delegations at the General Secretariat headquarters. The attendees included members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as executive, security, and public leaders who gathered to extend their congratulations on this national occasion.
Following the reception, the Governor proceeded to the Martyrs’ Memorial to lay a wreath, honoring the sacrifices and heroic legacies of Minia’s sons.
Distinguished Attendees: The ceremony was held in the presence of:
- Dr. Essam Farahat, President of Minia University.
- Dr. Mohammed Ali Gabr, Deputy Governor.
- Major General Hatem Hassan, Assistant Minister of Interior and Director of Minia Security.
- Brigadier General Mohammed Tawfik, Military Advisor to the Governorate.
- Major General Ahmed Gamil, Assistant Secretary-General.
- Representatives from the Ministry of Interior, religious leaders (Muslim and Christian), undersecretaries, and heads of various municipal centers.
The Ceremony: The proceedings began with a recitation of Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs, followed by the “Martyr’s Salute” musical tribute. the atmosphere reflected a profound sense of patriotism and loyalty to those who sacrificed their lives for Egypt.
Governor’s Statement: Major General Kedwany emphasized that celebrating the National Day is a renewed commitment to the journey of labor and construction. He stated that the heroism of past generations serves as an inspiration for current efforts. He further highlighted the governorate’s ongoing commitment to implementing comprehensive development plans under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, aiming to improve public services and achieve sustainable development.
